RENEWING MEMBERS
- Membership Renewals for the 2026–2027 year will commence on Saturday March 28 (due to the following Easter long weekend)

NEW MEMBER INTAKES
- New Member Intakes begin Saturday, April 11, 2026
- New applicants WILL receive an email confirming their assigned intake date and time
- Applications are processed in the order received
- Due to the high volume of applications, we kindly ask for your patience and request that you refrain from emailing to check on application status. Applicants will be contacted in due course
- All new applicants, including youth, are required to complete a 30-minute safety orientation and demonstrate safe, independent use of their own equipment, including the ability to shoot three arrows unassisted into a 20-metre target
APPLICATION AND PAYMENTS
- All applications and payments must be submitted online
- All applications and payments must be received at least 72 hours in advance of new key pickup
- NO applications or payments will be accepted at the field

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

- A tentative schedule is available now. More dates will be added as needed
- Please note: Due to unforeseen or last-minute circumstances, the schedule may change with little or no notice. Members are encouraged to check the website regularly for updates

Butt, porta-potty, and sign-in box Locks will be changed in the early morning hours on March 28, 2026.

$110 – Individual
$220 – Family (members living in the same household)

We CANNOT prorate regardless of the time of year when membership is taken. We do not issue refunds if you choose to cease membership.

We must receive your application and payment AT LEAST 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE of picking up your new key and sticker.

After the initial 3 Renewal Dates above - Renewing members can pick up a key and sticker on any Renewing and Intake date at the field. Renewing members are NOT sent emails regarding keys and sticker pickup.
See the 'Schedule' tab for all Intake and Renewal dates. Please do NOT email for the 'next' date, as dates are added according to the number of applications received and availability of volunteers - (the unknown). We are unable to do individual intakes nor add dates on short notice.
If you submit your application and payment the NIGHT BEFORE or MORNING of renewal or intake dates - we will not receive, nor can process, the information in time to reconcile our information and payment. Therefore, if you come to the field you will NOT be given a key or sticker. No exceptions.

NEW APPLICANTS
(must have own equipment, shooting experience and be able to meet the requirements #6 below, including youth 10-18 years of age - UNASSISTED)
1. Complete the on-line Application and SUBMIT (please only submit it once!)
2. Make an on-line fee payment via Pay Pal (PayPal will send you a receipt and you do not need a PayPal account to make the payment)

4. After we have processed your application and payment you will receive an email in due course from Burnaby Archers with your date and time for orientation
5. Go to the field on your assigned date and time (Rain or Shine)
6. Meet at the first picnic table with the others in your assigned group
7. You will undergo a 20 minute safety orientation and then demonstrate you can proficiently shoot three arrows into a 20 meter target using your own equipment and unassisted. The orientation will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes
8. Once you have successfully shot all 3 arrows, you will be given a new badge, membership number, term sticker and key (If you are unsuccessful, you can choose to come back and try again, OR, we can issue you a refund)
NOTE
a) Applications and payments CANNOT be processed at the field
b) You cannot just show up NO EXCEPTIONS
c) If you cannot make your assigned date and time, email burnabyarcherspresident@gmail.com right away so we can re-schedule you and offer the spot to another applicant
d) Renewals and Intakes are scheduled at the availability of Board members and volunteers. Please be flexible and patient. Due to the volume of applications, PLEASE Do not email asking if your application has been received! Do not email asking for your date and time. Doing individual intakes is not possible!

REPORT A CONCERN
If you see any suspicious or worrisome behaviour at the field e.g. loitering, damaging property, or just feel uneasy about using the field for any other reason - you can call 604-294-7200 City of Burnaby right away. They will often have Park Patrols and Service trucks near the area and they will come as quickly as possible. Phone Number for the Park Patrol is posted on the Notice Board at the field. If however, it’s an Emergency - call 911 right away !
